Ahhh...Summertime. Wait, what?

We had a mild winter here.  I'm not complaining, but FertKiki might - our gas bill was cheaper and I still got a few snow days.  However, the highs have been in the mid 60s and the lows have been in the upper 30s and low 40s for the past few weeks.  This morning? 35 degrees.  Right now? 82.  That's right.  82.  I'm loving it.  Except that I'm too tired from work to do anything.

After a VERY chaotic day (I got to call in an assistant principal to deal with problems today.  Go me!) I just want to pass out.  Then I come home and find out that I apparently volunteered to cook dinner today.  Well, I volunteered to grill one night, and apparently that will happen today, no matter what I say.  As long as I don't grill my face on accident, I should be ok...right?

One problem, though.  Somehow, I am HORRIBLE at grilling.  My dad taught me how to grill, and he is phenomenal at it.  Me, however, suck royally. Not sure how that's possible.  Last year, we didn't use the grill once because I had burned burgers so badly the year before that everything was caked with char and soot and was not sufficiently motivated to clean it.  Now it's clean, so we're going to give it a go.  In the end, it's a win-win situation.  Either it will be delicious, or it will result in a big fire that will be quite pretty.  I'm hoping for the former, but I'll probably be satisfied either way.

I should go and make sure that I haven't set the back of the house on fire.  That would make life more....interesting.
